  • Jury Trial – Not Guilty 2011 Drug Case
    Conspiracy to sell more than 300 pounds of marijuana in a drug-free school zone and money laundering case. Motion for judgment of acquittal was granted by trial court as to conspiracy to sell over 300 pounds of marijuana, and the jury found the client not guilty of the remaining count of money laundering.
  • Motion To Suppress Granted 2012 Drug Case
    The trial court granted the defendant’s motion to suppress possession of over 21 grams of cocaine. The defense was able to show the defendant was illegally searched and seized under the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution and Article 1, Section 7 of the Tennessee Constitution.
  • Jury Trial – Not Guilty 2012 Robbery
    Client was charged with especially aggravated robbery. The defendant was found not guilty at the jury trial. The defense used an identification expert to challenge identity at trial and was successful.
  • Jury Trial – Hung Jury 2013 DUI
    The defendant was charged with a fourth DUI offense or more. After a jury trial, the jury was hung from eight to four for not guilty. Subsequently, the defendant pleaded to a reduced charge of DUI 3rd offense.
  • Motion To Suppress Granted 2015 Drug Case
    The trial court granted the defendant’s motion to suppress possession of over 300 grams (a kilo) of cocaine. The defense was able to show the defendant was illegally searched and seized under the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution and Article 1, Section 7 of the Tennessee Constitution.
  • Jury Trial – Mistrial, Hung Jury 2015 Kidnapping
    The defendant was charged in a cold case with two counts of especially aggravated kidnapping and one count of aggravated robbery. The defense tried this case twice. One was a mistrial, and one was a hung jury. The defense successfully used an expert in microbiology to challenge DNA.
  • Jury Trial – Not Guilty 2015 Rape
    The defendant was charged with rape and statutory rape. After a jury trial, the defendant was found not guilty of the rape counts and only guilty of statutory rape. The defendant used a medical expert to challenge the rape kit and science at trial.
  • Motion To Suppress Granted 2017 Drug Case
    The trial court granted the defendant’s motion to suppress possession of over 6.4 grams of heroin, 34 pills of Xanax and 0.4 grams of methamphetamine. The defense was able to show the defendant was illegally searched and seized under the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution and Article 1, Section 7 of the Tennessee Constitution.
  • Case Dismissed 2022 DUI
    Case was dismissed at the Preliminary Hearing after the General Sessions Judge found the client did not drive unreasonable in a construction zone especially when no one was around. The case was dismissed after a hearing finding that the Defendant did not violate any law under the 4th Amendment Constitutional right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures.
